Coffee and Conversation with Sylvea Hollis
Please join us for an hour-long coffee and conversation with former Obermann Graduate Institute Fellow Sylvea Hollis. Currently, a Dissertation Candidate in the UI History Department, Hollis lives in Washington, DC, where she has recently worked at the Center for the Future of Museums at the American Alliance of Museums. She was previously a member of History Corps and has worked at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. In addition to her work in museums, she is also happy to discuss her dissertation, a cultural study of African Americans post-Reconstruction era, and the use of private social welfare systems in the Deep South.
