Darwin Day: Interactive Teaching Workshops

Two free interactive teacher workshops will take place during Iowa City's annual Darwin Day celebrations:

"Mathematics, Statistics, and Uncertainty in Scientific Claims" Both parts of this workshop will be led by Dr. Paul K. Strode, who has a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution and teaches to high school students in Boulder, Colorado. Part I: February 22, 6-7:30pm, Part II: February 23, 7:45-9:15am. Both parts will take place in room 106 of the Biology Building East.  

"Teaching Science Amidst Social Controversy; Evolution, Climate Change, Energy." This workshop will be led by Dr. Robert M. Ross, who has a Ph.D. in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from Harvard University.  This workshop will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2-5: 30pm  in room 106 of the Biology Building East.
