Fluxus refers to an international movement of artists during the 1960s and 70s who created art of found objects, musical compositions, performances and happenings. In one of the first major interdepartmental collaborations, the Digital Studio for Public Arts in the Humanities, UI Libraries’ Digital Research and Publishing, Preservation/Conservation, and Special Collections have been working together to create a digital representation of the Fluxus West Collection using methods of 2D and 3D capture. As the coordinator of this project, Hannah Scates Kettler will discuss the scanning processes and the efforts that have gone into creating a virtual representation of this unique avant-garde art collection.
