Never Rarely Sometimes Always
As part of Film Scene's Reel Representation series, which the Obermann Center co-sponsors, there will be a screening of this film back and a talk back immediately afterwards. Written and directed by Eliza Hittman (Beach Rats, It Felt Like Love), Never Rarely Sometimes Always is an intimate portrayal of two teenage girls in rural Pennsylvania. Faced with an unintended pregnancy and a lack of local support. Autumn and her cousin Skylar embark across state lines to New York City on a fraught journey of friendship, bravery and compassion.
The talk back will be moderated by Jennifer New, Associate Director of the Obermann Center, with participation from Ally Hanten, Director of Programs at United Action for Youth; Francine Thompson, Executive Director of Emma Goldman Clinic; and a faculty member from Gender, Women's, & Sexuality Studies.
