The GWSS Department is organizing a symposium with several partners across campus titled Social Justice After Ferguson. This symposium includes workshops for students and faculty, lectures, a brown bag lunch, and a panel discussion. The focus of our efforts is to explore the intersections of race, class, gender, violence, civil rights, and the criminal justice system in the United States after the events which took place in Ferguson and subsequent incidents, including the Baltimore Riots of April 25th which have been in the media spotlight.
