A talk by Sephanie LeMenager on Petroleum Culture in the American Century
Stephanie LeMenager, Moore Professor of Literature and Environment, University of Oregon, and co-founder of Resilience: A Journal of the Environmental Humanities, will be be speaking at 3:30 on Thursday April 10 in 304 English-Philosophy Building. Her lecture derives from her research for her recently published book Living Oil: Petroleum Culture in the American Century (Oxford). She is a scholar of Environmental Criticism, The Public Humanities, and Petrocriticism and the Cultures of Energy. All are welcome.
