Three Challenges - A talk by Marcia Wegman to the Triangle Club
Marcia Wegman is a professional artist living in Iowa City, Iowa, where she received an MFA in printmaking from The University of Iowa. She paints, exhibits, and sells pastel landscapes, pastel portraits, and abstract acrylic paintings. Marcia has won competitions with the pastel landscapes in Iowa and in several art magazines, and is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. International Artist magazine just announced she is one of ten finalists in their annual competition for the third time.
Marcia is the artist and author of the book Lula Belle: The True Story of a Friendly Urban Raccoon. In the book, you meet Lula Belle and her for kits living in the yard of the artist who photographed, painted, and wrote about these beautiful and friendly wild creatures. Marcia had many opportunities to observe and interact with these raccoons with excess fully adapted to city living.
