Triangle Club Meeting with Sandra Hudson — “The Quest: Seeking a Lost Heritage”
In this PowerPoint presentation, Sandra will share the story of one young American’s thirty-year quest for his lost heritage. As his adventures in the Czech Republic unfold, he experiences exhilarating discoveries that impact our western art and culture. He struggles to save his heritage, and in the process, he saves our heritage as well. The story is like a fairy-tale, but Sandra assures us it is absolutely true! This program is timely, as the Czech & Slovak Museum is currently celebrating the 100th anniversary of the creation of Czechoslovakia.
Sandra received her master’s degree from Harvard University in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy. In her career, she was a change agent in public and private education, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and government.
Since choosing Iowa City for retirement, Sandra has been an active advocate for the arts. She co-founded the Johnson County Cultural Alliance, which became the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance. She also served two terms as an ex-officio member on the Iowa Arts Council. Currently, Sandra’s hobby is researching and writing historical fiction.
This presentation will be our closing program for the season. Plan to join us for the final brunch at the University Club. Our next meeting will be September 16 at the Radisson in Coralville.
