The Triangle Club presents Dr. Robert Cargill
Professor Cargill will give an update on his research, both the excavations at Tel Azekah, Israel as well as his forthcoming book, "Cities that Built the Bible" (HarperCollins, March 2016). He will also preview his forthcoming participation in Season 6 of CNN's "Finding Jesus" series.
Dr. Robert Raymond Cargill is Assistant Professor of Classics and Religious Studies at The University of Iowa. He is a biblical studies scholar, classicist, archaeologist, author, and digital humanist. His research includes study on Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls, Second Temple Judaism, literary criticism of the Bible, the Pseudepigrapha and Apocrypha, Aramaic targums, and archaeology of the Ancient Near East. He has appeared as an expert on numerous television documentaries and specials and is an advocate for public higher education.
Socializer begins at 11:30am, brunch at 12:00pm, and the program begins at approximately 12:45pm. Meals are $20.50 per person, and annual dues are $10 per person.
