Bailey Kelley is a critical feminist media scholar and Presidential Graduate Research Fellow in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Iowa. She received a BA in Cultural Studies from Columbia College Chicago and a MA from the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois Chicago. Recent projects have focused on recipe sharing and remixed corporate cookbooks; the introduction of personal computers into the home; and the racial and sexual politics of Comedy Central's Broad City.

Her dissertation analyzes 21st-century television technologies—including YouTube, streaming services, and mobile devices—and explores the ways digital, networked devices and platforms interact with traditional modes of making, distributing, and watching television.
