Dr. Marcella David is Associate Dean and Professor of Law & International Studies at the Universisty of Iowa's College of Law. As Associate Dean, she works with others on a number of international programming initiatives, including study abroad, exchanges, the graduate program and the college’s visiting scholar program. Her teaching and research focuses on public international law and related topics, and she also teaches topics related to civil litigation. From 2004-2009, she held various central roles related to the University’s diversity efforts, notably serving as the Chief Diversity Officer from 2006-2009. David has served on the Riverside Theatre (Iowa City) Board of Directors, the board for The Workers’ Rights Consortium, a national NGO promoting rights in the garment industry, as a member of the Investment Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa, and as a moderator and occasional panelist of Ethical Perspectives on the News, a weekly television program produced by the Interfaith Council.
