Thais Winkleblack, Vice President and Senior Private Banking Officer, has been a community banker with MidWestOne Bank since 1998. Her work in wealth management often focuses on the practicalities of financial planning and the complexities of family relationships and how to bring continuity to these two important facets of our lives. Prior to her career in community banking, Ms.Winkleblack worked in not-for-profit fair trade and cooperatives. She is passionate about the community in which she lives and works and is involved in a number of area organizations. She has served as President of the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council since 2003—an organization which hosts international speakers on a wide range of topics at weekly luncheons. Ms.Winkleblack is also involved with the Community Foundation of Johnson County, 50/50 in 2020, the Iowa City Noon Rotary Club, and The University of Iowa Museum of Art. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Russian from Grinnell College.
