This is a two-week, invitation-only dissertation camp for graduate students. It will meet at the Writing Center (110 EPB), Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Each day will begin with a discussion of participants' goals and end with a presentation on some aspect of dissertation writing, but most of the time will be spent writing. Writing Center staff will be available for consultations each day. Priority will be given to students who have mostly finished collecting data and already started to write. The goal is for participants to get a significant amount of writing done and to develop an approach to writing that sustains them throughout the process.
Facilitators will include the assistant director of the Writing Center, Deirdre Egan, and the director, Carol Severino.
By invitation only.
Hosted by the Department of Rhetoric with support from the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies.
