A Forum with Visual Artist Kahlil Irving

Thursday, May 3, 2018 - 1:00pm to 9:00pm
UI Visual Arts Building
Room W221
Iowa City, IA 52242

The UI School of Art & Art History's Ceramics Department will host internationally recognized visual artist Kahlil Irving. Irving will moderate a forum with graduate students in the Art areas of Painting and Ceramics. Irving's work challenges historical notions of colorism, structural barriers that separate communities, and objects that exist in and around the urban environment.

Hosted by the School of Art & Art History, with support from the Obermann Center.
