Ann Ricketts is Associate Vice President in the Office of the Vice President for Research. After a career in sponsored research and assisting faculty in the pursuit of grants, she now oversees human resources and other key administrative and organizational areas of responsibility for the OVPR. Ricketts is the liaison between the OVPR and the Obermann Center and has been an invaluable partner and Ex-Officio member of the Obermann Advisory Board for over a decade. She co-chaired the University of Iowa Task Force on Public Outreach and Civic Engagement in 2009 and co-chaired, with Teresa Mangum, the Provost’s Advisory Committee on Publicly Engaged Arts, Research and Scholarship. Ricketts has served on the APLU Council on Engagement & Outreach Executive Committee, the CIC Committee on Engagement, and the MidWestOne Bank Advisory Board. She is an ex-officio member of the Office of the State Archaeologist Advisory Board, the UI Humanities Advisory Board, and the UI Arts Advancement Committee, among her many other contributions to the University of Iowa.
